I recently upgraded 3.4.6 --> 4.1.5, and now any time we do a 'related contact search', it takes on the order of 10 - 15 minutes to complete the search. There are about 600 primary contacts and around 1000 related contacts ( siblings ), so its not a matter of a huge database. CPanel's process manager indicates that the mysqld process is using most of the memory, but not very much CPU. Applying an Action to the resulting list is also slow.

It seems many improvements were made to the related contact searches- such as they can now be reliably used in Smart groups - but my client will expect better performance.
