Force SSL option not recognizing valid SSL certificate
August 09, 2012, 11:00:06 pm
Hi there, using 4.1.5 and having a Force SSL issue.  I'm getting a warning that SSL is NOT properly configured on my server when in fact it is, and all the Civi contribution pages can be viewed via https without error.

My host has mentioned something about recognizing 'chaining' but I don't know what this means and it's not a shared certificate.

What criteria does Civi look for in a 'valid' cert and how can I get it to recognize the cert?  Can I set this on manually in the DB - is there some sort of workaround?

Thanks guys.

Did you ever find a solution for this? We have the identical problem.

Thanks in advance.

too many variations with SSL and various http servers to provide a lot of help. Your best bet is to add some debug statements to:

CRM/Admin/Form/Setting/Url.php, function formRule

the checkUrl function is the one that tries to fetch a page via SSL to ensure that there is an SSL cert etc.
