3.0.3 project w/ 3.1.5 codebase fails updgrade
August 10, 2012, 10:47:55 am
I'm hoping you can give me some advice on a failing civi upgrade.

We inherited a project running 3.0.3 that says it has a codebase of 3.1.5 and we should upgrade.  However running the upgrade script says
"Database check failed - it looks like you have already upgraded to the latest version (v3.1.5) of the database. OR If you think this message is wrong, it is very likely that this a partially upgraded database and you will need to reload the correct database from backup on which upgrade was never tried."

I have a backup database to revert to, but where should I go from here?

Could be that a failed DB upgrade created tables that are not part of 3.0.3. One way to check is to make a fresh install of 3.0.3 somewhere else and compare the tables. If your live install has any extra tables, they may be the problem. But don't just drop them. Ask here first because they may be OK.
