Accourding to my hosting company Civi is the problem with our Joomla Login...
August 14, 2012, 03:17:58 pm
So according to our hosting company (who also does support for Joomla) Civi is the reason we can not create/login to our Joomla from the front end.

Does this sound right?  I do not have Civi Contacts connected to Joomla.

They upgraded our Joomla template and were able to get the Logins to work, so it sounds a little fishy to me.

What do you think?

Thanks in advance!

Mike

My experience has been with Drupal and CiviCRM, but it sounds very weird....can not login to Joomla because of CiviCRM? Does not make sense, and I would have serious doubts about the hosting company that would come up with this?

If upgrading your Joomla template fixed the problem, then the problem clearly was a faulty template to begin with. CiviCRM certainly didn't change because they changed the template.

I have never heard of CiviCRM causing any login issues with any CMS, including Joomla, nor can I think of how it could cause such.

Sounds like your host does not know what he is talking about.
