Invalid sesion key error after upgrading from 3.4.5 to 4.1.5 (Drupal6)
August 15, 2012, 08:16:49 am
Hi, I upgraded civicrm from 3.4.5 to 4.1.5 on Drupal 6 and the process went on smoothly.
When logged in as site administrator I am getting the following error on few pages (e.g. searching contacts, editing contacts)

Quote
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
We can't load the requested web page. This page requires cookies to be enabled in your browser settings. Please check this setting and enable cookies (if they are not enabled). Then try again. If this error persists, contact the site adminstrator for assistance.

Site Administrators: This error may indicate that users are accessing this page using a domain or URL other than the configured Base URL.
Error type: Could not find a valid session key.

Tried almost all of the possible solutions suggested on the forum
  • Cleared Drupal and civicrm cache
  • Cookies are enabled in the browser
  • Base URL of the page before and after submitting the request is same (not having 'www')
  • Base_url in drupal and civicrm settings file are same.
  • Site key is setup in civicrm settings file
  • Restarted apache
  • Cleared the cache table of civicrm and session table of drupal
  • Reset the user session
  • Checked whether Drupal users table has uid 0 entry. Its status was 0 which I tried changing to 1 but didn't help
I am not sure when exactly that happens but 2-3 times these pages worked and then again started giving the error.
Also, the message status of civicrm does not disappear after refreshing the page or going to some other page.

I could see these cookies for the pages:
Cookie: SESS87f06bcc9278d68754659bbcb277167b=mnq685vorlcthd85knt2v57ak2; has_js=1

Can anyone please help to resolve this problem.

Thanks

Hershel

I would try rebooting your PC. Won't hurt anyhow...
