D7+CiviCRM 4.1.5 Installer Error when running db queries

Hi all,

I have a fresh copy of Drupal 7 on my MediaTemple DV4.0 server. I'm trying to install CiviCRM 4.1.5 on this, but when I get to the CiviCRM Installer, everything looks green across the board but fails with this error:

Any pointers would be much appreciated! This project is for a non-profit cat rescue org and I'm eager to get them setup.

MySQL: v 5.1.54
PHP: 5.3.5
I've also attached my full setup

PS: I keep getting a "can't post external links" error in this post ... but i'm going to shorthand the error:

DB_Error Object ... Syntax Error ... CREATE TABLE 'civicrm_address_format'

Just an update ... I tried installing a fresh copy of this on a fresh Drupal 6 and I get the same error. I'm sure it's something to do with the MediaTemple DV4.0 Server I am running, but I'm not sure what it could be since the installer says it's green across the board...

Hi. Can you post the full text of the error? Or a picture of it? We must see the whole thing to know what's going on.

And can you confirm your precise MySQL version?

This is standard install SQL from the core file

sql/civicrm.mysql

If you're getting a syntax error, it sounds like a MySQL problem. What is your precise MySQL version?

CiviCRM is supposed to work with MySQL 5.1.x+. I do not know why yours fails. I can suggest two things:

1. Ask your host
2. Upgrade MySQL to 5.5
