CiviCase Error
August 22, 2012, 09:36:40 am
Hi,

I've created 3 case types. Yesterday I tested my casetypes and all worked fine. Today I don't get to see my actions in a newly made case and I cannot open the dashboard, I get this error:

Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
Het configuratiebestand voor het aangegeven dossiertype kon niet geladen worden: 'Settings'

I didn't change anything to my system. I updated my configuration file, but did not really change something that could damage CiviCase.

Anyone who knows what could be wrong?

Or did you perhaps move your xml configuration folder?

The custom templates directory wasn't configured. Now it is .../sites/default/files/civicrm/templates_c
My configuration folder is still at the same place as when installing CiviCRM: .../sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/xml/configuration
I deleted the configuration.sample folder, but I suppose that's not the problem.

I went to take a look at the reports in Drupal and found these 2 debug messages:

1.
Code: [Select]
$Fatal Error Details = Array ( [message] => Het configuratiebestand voor het aangegeven dossiertype kon niet geladen worden: 'Settings' (lees meer...) . [code] => )(location: [URL]/civicrm/case?reset=1)

2.
Code: [Select]
$backTrace = [ROOT]/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/Error.php, backtrace, 300
[ROOT]/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/XMLProcessor/Process.php, fatal, 63
[ROOT]/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/BAO/Case.php, get, 2808
[ROOT]/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/BAO/Case.php, checkPermission, 831
[ROOT]sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/Page/DashBoard.php, getCases, 89
[ROOT]/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/Page/DashBoard.php, preProcess, 109
[ROOT]/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/Invoke.php, run, 228
[ROOT]sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal/civicrm.module, invoke, 497 , civicrm_invoke,
[ROOT]/includes/menu.inc, call_user_func_array, 516
[ROOT]/index.php, menu_execute_active_handler, 21
(location: [URL]/civicrm/case?reset=1)

Sorry, but I don't understand that much of codes to be able to find errors...

All the errors are because it can not find the settings file I would imagine. And settings the custom templates directory did not solve the problem?

BTW: I would recommend creating a separate folder for your customized templates and keep it outside your civicrm folder (for example /sites/all/modules/<yourcustomtemplatesfolder> ). That prevents you throwing it away by accident when upgrading civicrm :-) And obviously put your configuration file in there in the appropriate folder
