Invalid checksum on install of Civi
August 22, 2012, 01:40:37 pm
I see someone had an issue with this several versions ago, and it was an issue with the URL, but I seem to be having the same problem with my install on 4.2.0. I am using the following URL:

sourceforge.net/projects/civicrm/files/civicrm-latest/4.2.0/civicrm-4.2.0-drupal.tar.gz

Opening part removed to get around link issue.

But I get invalid checksum for file upon continuing. If i leave /download in, it says its not a valid archive or something like this, so the above url SEEMS to be right. Any ideas?

That does not appear to be the right link. I'm not sure. Many folks have problems having Drupal fetch the file and I would suggest you get it manually and upload it to your server. That's how I do it.

I used the following URL in the Drupal 7 Modules > Install new module > "Install from a URL" field:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/civicrm/files/civicrm-stable/4.2.0/civicrm-4.2.0-drupal.tar.gz

It took three tries with various error messages, including a checksum error, but it finally installed.

Hope this helps!
