navigate to new window

Because of the current situation vis-a-vis calendar integration I would like to list a menu entry that opens an external calendar.  The item works fine,  but would like it to open in a new window automagically (i.e. without further user action). I was surprised when I noticed there wasn't an obvious way to do this.....  any ideas?

this seems to be a drupal issue (menu items). you might want to post on the drupal forums
