Was: Parse error when running UpdateMembershipRecord....upgraded but still no go
August 23, 2012, 03:35:52 pm
When I run the UpdateMembershipRecord-script (Drupal 6.24 Civicrm 3.4.0) I get the following parse error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '@' in /home/theorichel/domains/grkmain.com/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/bin/UpdateMembershipRecord.php on line 128

Problem is the documentation on this site says it should be in line 197 but I cannot find anything similar there. Which line should I edit? Now it says:
        //use domain email address as a default From email.
        $fromEmailAddress = $redactie@groenerekenkamer.nl;

Also the lines coding for the sending of a reminder are changed. I can see the beginning, but not the end. Its 226 to ?? I should comment out?

Many thanks for your explanations

Well meanwhile I have upgrade to Civicrm 4.1. and it seems to run well apart from this same problem. According to the new manual for 4.1 i should visit the same documentation page as for earlier versions (on which I reported above). In short I ought to run that script again, only: it is not in my bin directory, but in a deprecated directory and counts a lot less lines then expected.
So I am totally at a loss now. Should a script be used? at all If so where can I find it?
Thanks

If this page http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC41/Upgrade+Drupal+Sites+to+4.1+-+Drupal+6 would have contained a link to this page (as I think it should cause it solves all these problems) that would have saved me a two days work: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC41/Managing+Scheduled+Jobs

In short the UpdateMembershipRecord script and several other have been replaced by 'Scheduled Jobs'. They work perfectly allright, many thanks for that, but why is this information so hard to find. I posted twice about this in the forum, all a waste of time.

Glad you got it worked out. Please note that the wiki is editable by anyone, so if you have improvements, please go ahead and make them. The documentation depends on everyone and your support there is appreciated.
