CiviCRM/Joomla with Moodle
August 24, 2012, 04:53:21 am
I have a client running J2.5 with CiviCRM 4.1.3. We wish to use Joomdle or similar to integrate LMS capacity. What we need is:

1.  A user registers for an event in CiviEvent.
2. The event is a moodle course.
3. The user is automatically enrolled into a designated Moodle course.
4. User sync between Joomla, CiviCRM and Moodle must be maintained, if user is new or existing.

Any developers interested in this project please reply.

Our agency is also undertaking the development and integration of two Joomla/CiviCRM/Joomdle/Moodle systems on behalf of clients.  We are seeking knowledgeable developers who possess the appropriate expertise and the initiative to work through the challenges to realize exceptional solutions.

Hi effusing and SyncDev,

Check in with Polished Geek. (http://www.polishedgeek.com)  I FINALLY found a place that will install Joomla, CiviCRM (and much more) as well as host it on well built and maintained servers.  They can even design custom Joomla extensions and integrations (they did a fabulous integration of JomSocial and CiviCRM to create a volunteer system for www.activategood.org).

They just finished doing a base installation and configuration of Joomla 2.5/CiviCRM 4.2 for my org.  They worked efficiently and answered all of my questions.  We didn't need data migration, but they'll do that too. The price was competitive as well.

I highly recommend them if you're working in Joomla.
