Getting bootstrap error when run Cron from browser
August 26, 2012, 12:37:23 pm
I cannot get my cron job to complete. In once case, it showed that the scheduled job was "running" but not completed.

If I run the cron from the browser I get a bootstrap error. Upon investigation this error is generated by drupal.php when module_exists('civicrm') fails. There are some comments in the drupal forum that the module_exists function does not get a full list of modules early in the process ... that only "vital" modules are listed.

I'm using Drupal 7.15 and CiviCRM 4.2,

Never saw this problem before. What other modules do you have on your site? Can you confirm the URL you are using for cron also?

I have many modules on my site. It is a full Drupal site.

The URL I am using is http://zerocarbonontario.ca/sites/all/modules/civicrm/bin/cron.php?name=<user>&pass=<password>&key=<key>

I've tried with two different users ... one is my full user 0 and the other is one with limited permissions. Neither appeared to work although late last night I received one of the test messages I had tried to mail earlier in the day. But several cron jobs had run in the meantime and the trace message I had output for module_exists failure is in the log at the time when the message actually got sent.

I don't know what's wrong. My only guess is that a module you have is causing some conflict.
