Developer wanted

CiviCRMers,

(Cross post because no one on the Professional Services forum has answered my request.)

Attached is an image of a mocked up page that my customer wants for his CiviCRM installation. (This is indicative not prescriptive.)

The customer has a membership/donation/event form that allows for a supporter to make more than one contribution at a time.

For example, they may renew their membership and make a donation at the same time.

Depending on the type of contributions, a different form letter is chosen for the printing of a receipt.

The separate contributions must be linked via an automatically generated receipt number. This receipt number can be used to retrieve the contributions, to calculate a total amount, and to be displayed on the output form letter.

I am looking for a developer familiar with CiviCRM to create what I have called the Multi-Contribution functionality.

If anyone is interested in developing this modification/component, please contact me directly on simon at spatialdbadvisor dot com.

regards
Simon

I'm guessing you want this sooner rather than later? A lot of the changes in 4.3 (CiviAccounts) will have a bearing on this - so probably if you get this done in 4.2 you might need to get it reworked for 4.3. 4.3 is likely to deliver the underlying structure that you need

Eileen,

Since:

* 4.3 has been released and
* I cannot move my customer into production until this work is done and
* It is unlikely we can move into production anyway for another 2-4 weeks...

I can wait.

However, I cannot provide a dev/test environment for this as our current installation is hosted by CiviHosting.

I will have to contact them about a 4.3 migration.

Our site's Joomla side is in production but our CiviCRM side, while fully loaded, is not. (We are currently manually synchronizing our old system with CiviCRM.) I would not sign off the development until tested against our system, so again I will have to contact CiviHosting.

regards
Simon

For the record, all CiviHosting accounts come with subdomains and multiple databases, so it's simple to setup an independent test environment on a subdomain. For more information, please contact us offline.

Sorry all, I've been away.

I need this work to be done before 4.3 is released.

If I wait till 4.3 then it may not do what I want anyway so time wasted. If it doesn't do what I want, but gave me the data structures I needed, then I could go ahead and use those new elements which are required even if not the source code.

I like the idea that a little of the money I have available to me could be used for 4.3 development but I haven't quite been rushed off my feet with offers!

So, what do you people suggest I do that could be a win:win for all?

regards
Simon
