We have been working with the ARB system and with Authorize.net for the past few months on Recurring Gifts and have been noticing some odd things we are seeking to iron out:

• The Civi Invoice # and the Authorize Invoice #do not match on ARB transactions - they do on regular transactions.
• We have maybe about 20% of those who setup an ARB subscription stay stuck in "Pending" status even after Authorize approves and completes the payment and has posted to the Silent Post URL.
• We have had to then go in and manually update those payments in Civi to "Completed"
• Then when the next cycle came through - Authorize processed these same Subscriptions on their end without and issue, but Civi updates no record of the payment, even though it should have received notification.

We are out of ideas and options for figuring this out and would love some help - are willing to hire a professional to help sort this out as we have a complete mess on our hands with our donors. 

It turns out out that Authorize.net does not always send x_cust_id in it's responses - which is a required field in the civicrm processing code
