Removing the contact type 'Household'
August 28, 2012, 07:26:32 am
Last week I was setting up a media database. Household is not rally an appropriate contact type then so I wanted to remove it but Civicrm didn't let me do that. So I set "is_active" in the "civicrm_contact_type" to zero for Household and that got rid of most references to this contact type. I only had to remove one menu item under contact.
I did this in Civicrm 4.1.5 and now just upgraded to 4.2 which worked fine.

Hi Stijn,

(assuming you are the one that came to our training last week ;)

And so far, beside removing the navigation entry, you got all the mentions to household removed in all the screens?
