Edit Links Have Stopped Working

I'm running version 4.1.3 on WP 3.3.2.   Things were running well and then all of a sudden links for editing a contact's membership or contribution records stopped working.   When you click them you just go back to the same screen you started on.  Can anyone help with this issue?

To clarify: 

If I do a 'Find Memberships' search and click Edit it works

If a search for a Contact, click on the name, then click on the Memberships tab and click edit next to the listed membership, it doesn't take me to an edit screen.  It takes me back to the same screen.

One last clarification...  Even though the membership edit window opened from the Memberships search, the date fields have something that looked like a URL rather than a date....so I guess nothing is working.

This was working and mysteriously now does not work?

Can you post some of the URLs you are talking about to clarify? Remove your domain name if you want and just post the rest.

Looks like problem with the urls, it should be

http://*******/civicrm/wp-admin/admin.php?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/contact/view&reset=1&cid=81

Do you have any other plugins that might be the cause for such behavior?

No active plugins.   I did just delete the 2 inactive ones - Akismet and Hello Dolly.   The incorrect behavior has changed now.  Now if you click on the Memberships tab it opens up the membership edit screen (still the odd url-type string in the date fields), instead of giving you the list of memberships.   When you click cancel it takes you to a "Find Memberships" page.
