WordPress Donate Subdirectory
August 30, 2012, 12:48:56 pm
I've installed CiviCRM as a WordPress plugin and made a contribution page. Now I've created a WP post and inserted a form into the post using the button beside the Add Media button.

Now when viewing the post, and after clicking the Confirm Contribution button, I get taken to a sub-directory (/donate/) that is basically a separate install of WordPress: this sub-directory has the same theme but none of the posts as the main site. It's jarring because the user will wonder why all of the content has disappeared when s/he has actually gone to a a copy site.

Is this setup the result of my settings or is it by design? How do if fix it?

This is not by design. Do you have a separate WP install in that directory?

I re-installed CiviCRM and this problem has been avoided. I have another question though: is there anyway to control which WordPress template file is used for displaying donation pages and such? Currently they are using index.php but the theme that I am using doesn't show any dynamic content with index.php.
