How to print forms
August 31, 2012, 02:41:41 am
( I hope this is the right forum for this question).
I would like to send bank forms to my constituents with which they can pay their yearly dues. Each sheet contains three forms below one another. So far I know two solutions.

1. If I fill them in with a Print PDF-template I can only print one form at a time (after which a form feed inserts another sheet). This forces me to tear all forms apart. That is in itself not so big, but the printer doesnt like these smaller sheets.
2. I can also treat them as labels. Then it is possible to print three forms and only then insert a new sheet. This option however only allows me to print addresses, not supplemental information, such as 'Yearly contribution'. I have tried to add a field to my records with 'Yearly contribution' as default value, but I cannot manage to get it on the labels.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Hello TheoRichel,

Try going to Administer-->localization-->Address Settings. Beside Mailing label format you should see Insert tokens. Select that, and input the name of your field on the pop-up. Select your file, and you should get a token added to your mailing label format that says {contact.custom_10} or something similar. you can move it around on the format, just make sure that you highlight the {}s as well. Spaces look like this { } for 1 {  } for 2 etc.

That should get your yearly contribution field onto your labels. otherwise, Print 3 small forms, trim them to fit on a page and scan or copy the page.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
Jason
