Sorry, I am having difficulty understanding the relationship between the Joomla users (stored in the jos_users table) and crm contacts.

Related questions:

1. Are all Joomla users automatically synced up as crm contacts?
2. are crm contacts also stored as joomla users?

I tried to browse through the book/documentation but could not find any hints about how this works.

I have been studying the packt book about civicrm and have a better understanding now but still have issues.

The most important issue is how to expose crm functionality on my joomla 2.5.6 frontend.

As far as I can tell things are not as nice and easy as on Drupal.
