Any workaround for participants registered and paid by someone non attending?
September 03, 2012, 06:51:48 pm
Hello civi community!
I am new to accounting, to the nonprofit field and to civi as well, so bear with me... Not sure how it should be recorded when the contribution (for paid event registration), comes from a person who is not a participant. Maybe this question is for civiContribute section, I wasnt sure.
I saw it is in the roadmap for... 4.3 ? But in the meantime I have already 3 people registered (and paid for) by someone non attending. In civi, the contribution appears in the participant's name, but paypal payment comes with a different name (the payer).
How is people doing till there is proper solution for this scenario? My callback from paypal is not working, neither my automatic email for event confirmation :(, so I have time to find a workaround to this:).
Any suggestions? Would be greatly appreciated.
I've got a programmer, so with some guidance we can maybe make something up...

Cheers! xxx
