Updating events after changing event template

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you can help a newbie. I've had to add a custom field to some civievent templates I have set-up but that hasn't changes the events that are based on those templates.

Is there a command line or something that I can use so that the events get updated with the new template? There are over 1,200 odd events that across 10 templates that all need updating so I'm really hope I don't have to update them manually...

Running civi 4.0.8 and drupal 7.14

unfortunately not

However might be easy for you to write a script that updates all the events from a certain template. If you do so, please share the script so others can benefit
