Subscription on contribution page ?
September 05, 2012, 11:39:17 pm
Hello,

I am using CiviCRM 4.1 (Stable) on Drupal 7.12 for one of my precious client.
Am trying to provide the (Subscription) option on contribution page.
ie : There will be a (Checkbox) to ask users (would you like to subscribe for news letter ?).
if user select/checked the option he/she will be in the subscriber list else only the contribution should be done.
Here is the contribution form layout :

Please guide me to the right path because,
I used to have a good head of hair when I started doing this task, but I'm afraid it's getting thinner  ;D

can you describe what you did to added the items to the contribution page?

Is it "subscribe to newletter" a profile? Did you enable add to group in the advanced profile settings?

Thanks pkeogan for reply,
I follow the steps bellow:
1 - Create custom field (Alphanumeric   CheckBox ).
2 - Create new profile & add the above created custom field in it.
3 - Then include the profile in bottom of the contribution page.

That's all that i have created, i didn't enable add to group in the advanced profile settings.
You can see the steps i follow in this screen cast also : http://screencast.com/t/6p8KhpsW0rGW

Please check the advanced settings on your profile and ensure you are adding contacts to a group.

for an example, go to the demo site:  http://drupal6.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/uf/group/update?action=update&id=2&context=group

and click on advanced...

for an existing profile, click on the "more" link and edit your profile settings (not the custom fields)
