Expired Membership: Disallowing login

Hello, does anyone know how i can block expired members from being able to log in to Civicrm and redirect them to renewal page? Or  which is the easiest way to implement this. Any idea on this? Thanks.

I helped contribute the CiviAuthenticate Plugin which works for me.  Let me know if you use it and if there is anything I could improve.  Been in the process of updating to the latest API but am time poor.

BTW - what's you sql version?

Thanks for the quick reply. I understand Civiauthenticate is for Joomla. Am using Drupal with Civicrm.  is there a drupal version?. My  MySql version is 3.4.5
