Custom CiviCRM CSS URL error
September 10, 2012, 02:08:17 am
I'm using D7 and CiviCRM 4.2

When I set the Custom CiviCRM CSS URL path in System Settings > Resource URLs,  civicrm.css is removed but the new css file is not loaded. Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

I am experiencing the same behavior.  Very sure I am setting the right path in the CSS URL field

can you see the style sheet if you put it directly in your address bar?

Can you search the page source for the name of that file? Maybe the path is somehow messed up?

The css file text loads if I point the browser to the path in the address bar

Even if I copy the file civicrm.css from /modules/civicrm/css to a folder in my drupal theme folder and make no changes, setting the path value in the Custom CSS URL at the Resource URL settings page to the folder in my drupal theme folder causes no civicrm.css to load, its not loaded in the html source anywhere on any civicrm pages...

The drupal instance is setup in a multi-site environment.

This was redone in 4.3 and I believe is working in the latest version. Can you check? If you don't want to upgrade your site now you could test on demo.
Note: Completely overriding civicrm.css the way you are doing is really hard to maintain. An alternative would be to add an extra css file in your drupal theme that has some targeted css overrides.
