Date format in custom field settings not reflected in PDF printing...
September 13, 2012, 08:06:54 pm
I did some searching and found some similar issues, but no resolution. Essentially, I've created a custom 'date' field, which stores a date and uses the date picker. No problem there. It prints out fine to PDF too, using the tokens. The issue is the format. Even if I set the 'Date Format' to something else, for example what I want 'mm/dd/yyyy,' the token will only display 'September 13, 2012.'

I tried changing the format using Smarty, but it seems like it's not outputting actual date data, but an already formatted string which can't be formatted using the date_format function of Smarty.

Am I missing something, or is this a bug? Why can't I change the format the date is displayed in?

Thanks in advance!

Hello HajimaIchiro,

I would recommend that you check the settings in your PDF program. Odds are that when the PDF is exported, The program is Recognizing the date and formatting it according to it's own settings.

Cheers,

Thanks for the response and the idea, but I don't think that's the case. I'm using WKHTML, and as far as I can tell, the Smarty token is being replaced with the full 'September 14th, 2012' date. I think it's an issue with CIVICRM.

Any other ideas?
