500 Error
September 14, 2012, 09:42:18 am
Hi,
I have installed Civicrm on a Joomla setup.
Now when I try to access Civicrm vi the administrator pages, I get a "500 - An error has occurred. - XML data could not be loaded. Make sure you specified the correct path." message

I have checked both civicrm.settings.php and civicrm.config.php and both files have correct paths.
I have also change permissions of the template_c directory (chmod 777) and removed all files in this directory, as well as flushed my DB using the "UPDATE `civicrm_domain` SET `config_backend`=NULL ;" SQL query.

MY version numbers are as follows:
CiviCRM: 4.2.1
Joomla: 2.5.6
MySQL: 5.1.56-log
PHP: 5.3.8
Apache: 2.2.16

Please could someone help, as this is driving me mad!!!

Regards, Mark Edworthy

Go one directory up from template_c directory and there should be there a Config directory, or some such. In there you may find the IDS file. Delete it and let CiviCRM rebuild it.
