Checklist Error - Site Preferences section only

I am getting the following error when entering the Site Preferences selection from the configuration checklist.

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving https: //10.0.0.14/wordpress/wp-admin/admin.php?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/admin/setting/preferences/display&reset=1&civicrmDestination=%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2Fadmin.php%3Fpage%3DCiviCRM%26q%3Dcivicrm%2Fadmin%2Fconfigtask%26reset%3D1. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

I have not had any other errors before or beyond this selection on the checklist, although I have not finished the list.

I couldn't find anything that looked like it pertained to the issue so I am wondering if someone with more experience would be willing to point me in the right direction.

Just tried that link on the 4.2 WP demo (http://wordpress.demo.civicrm.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/admin/configtask&reset=1) and not seeing an errors. What version of CiviCRM r u using? Can u access that configuration page from the CiviCRM Administrative menu (Customize Data and Screens > Display Preferences)?
