Acquia Dev Desktop Control Panel Site Import Problem
September 16, 2012, 10:31:15 am
I'm attempting to install on my Windows 7 computer my Drupal 7 /CiviCRM 4.1 website using Acquia Dev Desktop Control Panel's Sites->Import functionality. CiviCRM is installed as separate database on the website. I believe I've successfully imported the codebase and Drupal database. However, when I try importing the Civi database using Manage my database->Import I get an error message "The file being uploaded is probably larger than the maximum allowed size ...". I've increased the php memory size per several posts I found to no avail.

Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding importing the Civi database using Acquia, or suggest another way/tool to import the Civi database into my localhost site?

Thanks,
Marty

Hello. I have no idea what the "Acquia Dev Desktop Control Panel's Sites->Import" tool is, but that is not how you install CiviCRM. The directions for installation are here:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC41/Drupal+Installation+Guide+for+CiviCRM+4.1+-+Drupal+7

You must follow those instructions.
