Multiple membership types and multiple price sets
September 17, 2012, 01:35:28 pm
Hello,

I work for a non-for-profit, and have a difficulty setting up multiple memberships and multiple price sets. There are 5 membership types: Corporate member, organisational member, individual member...Depending on the income range, they would also be expected to pay a certain member fee..it would look something like:

Corporate member
Under $1 - $5.00
$2 - $5 - $10.00

Org member
Under $1 - $5.00
$2 - $5 - $10.00

Indiv member
Under $5 - $1.00
$5 - $10 - $3.00

Life member - $0

I am just wondering how i can set that up? Currently I have set up the different membership types (org, indiv, life) but I am having issues associating the types with price levels. Also, when I try to add a membership level to an account, I can choose the price set but an error pops up with 'Record membership Payment' and wont let me proceed. I also dont see the record payment checkbox.
Any help is appreciated. Is there a better way to do this?
Cheers,

This should be available using price sets, but based on what you are describing I don't know what has been configured improperly.

One key is to set the minimum $ amount for each membership level to be the lowest $ in the price set.

Here is an example of price sets of various types and levels working and in action for several months, so keep trying.
