How to change permission of a previously created report
September 17, 2012, 11:24:39 pm
Hey,

I find that I'm unable to chnage the access permissions of any reports from "access civiReport". I select a different permission level from the drop down list like "access civiCRM", hit Update Report, and wait fro the message that tells me the report has been updated. When I expand the Report Settings section again I see that the permission is still set ot "access civiReport".

My question is, is it possible to change the permission from the default for a previously created report?

Thanks.

Investigated and found this to be a bug. Filed an issue here - http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-10841.

You can pickup patch from there.

thanks

Hey Deepak,

Thanks for investigating this, and thanks for the update. Is the patch safe to use on version 4.1.5? We are on Drupal 6 and currently unable to upgrade to civi version 4.2.

Leonard.

Update,

Now experiencing the same issue with the "Available for Dashboard" tick box. It does not update when ticked.

Using version 4.1.5.

Leonard.

  • CiviCRM version: Always the latest!
  • CMS version: Drupal 6 mostly, still evaluating 7.
  • MySQL version: Mix of 5.0 / 5.1 / 5.5
  • PHP version: 5.3, usually on Windows

Regarding the "available for dashboard" checkbox, when I asked about this a couple years ago the answer was that it was by design, because if it stays checked then there's some problem with multiple instances/users using it (sorry I don't remember exactly and can't find the note). Maybe Kurund remembers since I think he answered me?
