I'd like to use auto renewal on my website, but then I should setup a payment structure within Civicrm. For me that is no option because Civicrm doesnt support the popular Dutch payment processor iDEAL o  which I depend.
Currently I use Ubercart on my site. This module supports iDEAL, so I have no choice. But what I would like to know is: can I also use these Ubercart contribution pages for auto renewal?

Answer is: not really.

You can't do this directly, but Ubercart supports a membership type of product, and "membership" in this case means that the member has a certain Drupal role. So what you could do is synchronize that role to a Group in CiviCRM and thus simulate a true membership.

Otherwise, you could use custom code to port the Ubercart membership to CiviCRM.

Has anyone written this custom code? Thought I'd check before I do something similar..
