Could you please clarify what you mean by "the problem has been fixed". Fixed meaning that UAS is no longer checking the hostname, or fixed meaning the hostname doesn't have to match the mail server?

For the 4tgc.org site I'm still getting settings successfull when I check them here, https://www.uas.coop/smtp-account, but

I get the following error while trying to send email through the UAS smtp service. I'm using drupal 5.7 and CiviCRM 2.0.1.
