Sending reminders fails

I am on Civicrm 4.2.and am trying to set up Scheduled Reminders. I have created a Message Template. Under Schedule Reminders I have set the date when the reminder should be sent, and then I ran the Send Reminder Scheduled Job. (I understand from this forum that the Set Reminder Date job is sort of obsolete in 4.2.).

As (the only) recipient of the reminder I had selected myself. After I ran the Scheduled Job for the first time it arrived perfectly, but then I edited a little bit in the message template and tried to send it again, but no more messages arrived.

Is this a bug? Do I do something wrong?

(You guys probably have lots of good ideas of your own, but would it be a lot of work to put a 'Send test mail'-button on the Message template pages?)

Meanwhile I have upgraded to 4.2.1 but the reminders still do not arrive. The job log howerver claims success

When I choose today's date as the day to send, I get the message: 'Absolute date cannot be earlier than the current time.'

Hi there.  Did you get this to work at all?
I'm having the same problem with scheduled reminders not being sent at all.

Sorry to keep you waiting for so long. No the problem has not been solved. We temporarily left it as it is, maybe an update improves things, later.
