Scheduled reminders not complete?

I am trying to setup a Scheduled Reminder for Membership. On the Schedule Reminder Page I select
Membership (under activity) and  then
I can select one of my membership types,
but then I can only select 'auto renew option', whereas according to the book I could expect to be able to select a membership status here.
Have I misunderstood something or is this indeed missing?

The book needs to be updated to be in sync with the changes that we did for Scheduled Reminder for Memberships.
We 'll make the desired changes.
