CiviCRM events and drupal
September 26, 2012, 05:45:01 pm
Hi all,

I have run into an issue using CiviCRM and the events plugin.

Currently I create an event in CiviCRM and I have to manually add the link to it in Drupal, is there a way that this can be done automatically?
I've had a look for a plugin and I don't want to use the Calendar to display these either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

M

Views can display these links, but I don't know exactly what you're doing or where you want the links. Can you clarify?

Not sure what you mean by the "events plugin" but maybe what you're looking for is the upcoming events block which isn't enabled by default, but will display text links to the civievents. Go into the blocks section in drupal admin and enable that block.

Hi,

Apologies to clarify I have written the steps below of what I have to do currently.

I log into my CiviCRM and create an event. Once the event is created there is a link created to it so people can register.

I then log into my drupal front end and edit the seminars page and using HTML add the link manually to the page. Is there a way that I can add a block or something that will automatically update the seminars page when an event is created in CiviCRM?

Thanks

M

Either the upcoming events block as I described or as Hershel says you can create a view if you have the Views module installed (http://drupal.org/project/views). With views you have more control over which events and what info is displayed, but takes a little more time to set up.
