Hide 'Renew Now' for Life Members

Hi.

Any ideas how I can hide the 'Renew Now' link for Life Members in the front end as they don't ever need to renew?

I think you would have to customize the template for this.

jQuery used in a .extra.tpl can also be used to hide text (aka Renew Now) in rows where other text (Life Member) exists.   View my presentations on jQuery UI customizations at both 2012 CiviCons.

IMO you should also submit any patch that you create for that to the issue tracker since it sounds to me like a bit of missing core functionality and you will be spared the pain of re-applying on each upgrade :)
