Smarty->_eval() Memory allocation error when setting Organization name

When setting org name, a memory allocation error happens. Max is set to 128MB.

have found some forms display, but not many.


Same error for setting from email address. Default CiviMail mailbox displays form.
Under Configuration checklist
localization  same error
organization address  same error
display preferences  displays form

mapping and geocoding  same error
search settings  displays form

might want to use a more recent version of PHP for your tests. might also want to check and ensure you have allocated enough memory for php in php.ini (we recommend at least 64M - 128M)

memory_limit is set to 128M  PHP on test system seems to work for everything else. Would like to know what is wrong first. Test machine is an older PowerPC Mac and all I have to test with. This version of PHP is about the newest I can install. It runs Drupal just fine.

The code being passed to eval is

Upgraded php to 5.3.17. Problem no longer exists, but not sure it was resolved by the upgrade. There was also a problem with the case of the directory name for all the Drupal files. Anyway, I am considering this 'fixed'.
