Lost default report "Membership Report (Detail)"
October 01, 2012, 06:50:26 pm
Folks,

I used the standard report "Membership Report (Detail)" but modified it. When it saved it I noticed that that the report in the Reports menu pillar hadn't changed. Digging I found the modified report in Reports>Reports Listing alongside the modified version.

Stupidly I deleted the original report thinking that the modified version would then appear in the Reports menu as "Membership Report (Detail".

It didn't.

I tried to modify the report to see if I could get it to appear but it still doesn't.

Can someone help me add the modified version of the original report so that it appears in the Reports menu as a replacement for the one I deleted?

regards
Simon

you might want to log in to the demo site and look here: http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/report/instance/20?reset=1

On that page, have a look under Report settings > Other settings.

Editing settings on your report to match the demo report and then clicking Update might solve the problem for you.

Michael,

Apologies: The report appears at the bottom of the Reports Menu pillar. Can one move it?

Thanks.

Comparing them I note that the Drupal one has:

Parent Menu
Permission
ACL Group/Role

Whereas my Joomla based on has only.

Parent Menu

Both have "Include Report in Navigation Menu?" ticked.

After I set Parent Menu and hit Update, the report does not appear in the Report menu.

SImon

yes:http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/menu?reset=1

I presume this is because permissions support is not as extensive in Joomla
Which makes me think that you might have more fun + success playing around with the Joomla demo: http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/

What are you setting it to?  Are you clear with what parent item means? it is the menu / menu item that this report will be listed in / under.  If all working correctly, playing around with the navigation menu link above should help you get the hang of it
