a sub-sub menu won't be localized
October 02, 2012, 02:28:22 am
Hello, there,

I had the problem with having a sub-sub menu localized, and am wondering if any of you have any experience to share, or any suggestion or comment.

With a custom contact sub-type 'volunteer' having been created under the contact type 'individual", a sub-sub menu shows when I'm creating a new individual contact with a custom type, ie, Contacts -> New Individual -> New Volunteer.

Now the problem is, having translated the menu item 'Contacts' and the sub-menu item 'New Individual' into my target language which is Chinese, I can't locate the sub-sub menu item. So 'New Volunteer' is always 'New 义工', where 义工 is volunteer in Chinese.

Thanks a lot.

Joy

Hello Joy,

Have you tried Using word replacement as a fix? Go to Administer-->Customize Data and Screens-->Word Replacements. Now select enabled, under Original, type new, and under replacement put in the character you need. Select save.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Jason
