Saving to MySQL database fails and returns to Wordpress login

New contacts, changes to email settings, and other database saves all seem to fail and return to Wordpress login screen.

Any suggestions on why this might happen and troubleshooting tips?

Might be that you're losing your login session. Are there multiple URLs for accessing your admin site (e.g. http://mysite.org vs. http://www.mysite.org)? Make sure the CIVICRM_UF_BASEURL defined in civicrm.settings.php is consistent with how your logging in.
