civicrm and word press
October 09, 2012, 12:01:05 pm
A friend of mine is looking to move her organisations' membership system onto civicrm. It is currently on access. Her website is on wordpress so she is looking to move on civicrm-wordpress. She has been told by her consultant that it is not possible for members to be given permission to amend their own records.

On drupal/civicrm I know this is possible. Is there any truth to this?! Why woudl it not be possible on a wordpress site?

Thanks

Hershel

it depends on ow u do it? but in general for 4.2 and prior the civi-wp permissioning capabilities are quite weak.

it will be a bit better in 4.3. There is also an MIH to improve permissioning for WP
