Hello.

I have a client on CiviCRM 4.1 and Drupal 7. They have a contribution page setup as a Donate form. How can I configure CiviCRM to send a notification to the administrator when a new contribution comes in?

Hello Matt,

Without delving into code (not a strong point of mine) I tried a few things using the demo site and my installation. This is the best way I could see:

1. Go to Contributions-->Manage Contribution Pages.

2. Select Configure next to the Page you need to set up, and select the Thank you and Receipting tab.

3. Scroll down to the CC Receipt field and put in the Admin's email. Save and Done.

Now an email will be sent to the admin any time a donation is made. You could also set it up to be a blind receipt by putting the email address in the BCC field. This can also be configured when the Page is created.

You could also set up a dashlet that shows donations, but that won't actually send a notification.
