All my Groups dissappeared after upgrading to 4.1
October 12, 2012, 10:20:02 pm
I can't find my groups anymore under Contacts->Manage Groups after upgrading to 4.1. However, I lookup some contacts, they still belong to the groups that disappeared.

I tried creating new groups after upgrading, they too don't appear too under Contacts->Manage Groups. However In CivicMail, I can see the new groups I created but not the old ones. But when sending mass emails to those newly created groups using CivicMail, CivicMail reported successful but no emails were sent. I checked on the recipient mailboxes and email server logs, there were no trace of CivicMail attempting to connect to the email server.

However, when I lookup some contacts, I did found contacts still associated to the groups that disappeared. I then clicked on any of the group associated to the contact and these error messages appeared.

Notice: Use of undefined constant SORT_NATURAL - assumed 'SORT_NATURAL' in /<joomla root>/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Contact/Form/GroupContact.php on line 110

Notice: Use of undefined constant SORT_FLAG_CASE - assumed 'SORT_FLAG_CASE' in /<joomla root>/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Contact/Form/GroupContact.php on line 110

Warning: asort() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in /<joomla root>/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Contact/Form/GroupContact.php on line 110

I have then upgraded to 4.2.1 and then to 4.2.2 but still doesn't help. Can someone help please ?

I am using Joomla 2.5.7, PHP version5.3.8 and MySQL version5.1.63-cll

I captured these errors when inspecting using Firebug while clicking on Contacts->Manage Groups.  Hope this helps.

I think that Lobo has fixed the SORT_NATURAL etc warnings - see fix CRM-10975.
