Problem to import CSV file from Outlook
October 17, 2012, 12:32:01 am
I tried to import contacts lists (csv file) from Outlook. But it didn't work. All of the columns(name, telephone, email, address ...) in the csv file goes to the same column. But the import worked on "vertical response" website. Why CiviCRM  import can not verify diferent columns in CSV? Anyone who can solve this problem? Thank you very much.

Check the field separator that Outlook is putting out. I suspect your copy of Outlook is using something other than a comma (,) - perhaps a semicolon (;). Comma which is the default Import / Export Field Separator in CiviCRM. You can change the expected separator in CiviCRM from Administer > Localization > Languages, Currency...
