Can't run update script
October 17, 2012, 08:33:19 pm
Updating from 4.21 to 4.23 in Drupal 7.  Followed all the steps in this: Upgrade+Drupal+Sites+to+4.2+-+Drupal+7  In step 9 I created the dummy database and then edited the new civicrm.settings.php to point to the real db.  However, I can't run the update script in Step 10. When I click on it, it just takes me to my Drupal User page.  When I go to Admin in CiviCRM it even has link there: New codebase version detected. You might want to visit upgrade screen to upgrade the database.   but it won't run the update. Completely stymied.

Should also say php 5.3.17

What error do you get when you run upgrade? Can you add screenshot here.

Site URL njla.org.   I have tried manually typing in the URL per the upgrade directions http://<your_drupal_home>/civicrm/upgrade?reset=1 and when in Administration the  upgrade link is http://njla.org/civicrm/admin?reset=1

I ended up just exporting users etc, and creating a brand new install.  Later I tried an upgrade with a D6 site and there was no issue whatsoever going from 4.22 to 4.24.

There was actually a problem with the upgrade script in 4.2.3: http://civicrm.org/blogs/dave-greenberg/announcing-civicrm-424

Sounds like you're all set now however.
