Using Admin Search TPL on Front End
October 18, 2012, 05:59:38 am
CIVICRM has many great features and options from the Admin but does not really offer any easy direct way to use them or show information to the public.

Example:  How can you use the top donors report (customized for public) via a link? or have a list of people who have build contribution pages to show goal and status with link to their page?

A step by step instruction plan would be a huge feature for many of us beginners that want to use CIVICRM.

We are currently using Wordpress and running on a Windows server.

Have you read the book:

http://book.civicrm.org/user/

Note that due to permissioning and integration issues with WordPress (and Joomla) there is unfortunately an arbitrary seperation between front end and backend. WP integration is still fairly new and would be great if we can get folks more knowledgeable with WP internal to help make the civi-wp integration even better.

Something like the below is possible in Drupal

I switch over to using Drupal, would you please provide some additional direction on how to achieve this?

Hey there,

That is probably out there somewhere, though might be more hidden that you would like.

Can you let us know a bit more and provide more details about how you have tried to achieve "this", and what the problems were.  Might be helpful to take the tasks below one at a time?

It makes it much easier for people to help if they have some idea about what you have tried already, how you are thinking about it, and your approach.
