I seem to be getting a membership signup activity every time the status of a membership changes.

Is that the behaviour I should expect?

I would have thought there would have been only one per membership type and that would have been created on the Member Since date for that membership.

I have set up something on the Drupal 7 demo site to see what happens there, but I am not sure how often it is reset.

Having waited long enough to trigger a membership status change on the demo site, I can see that there is a new(ish) activity type called Change Membership Status.

So shouldn't get any more contacts with three membership 'signups' within 6 months. I just have to the deal with those existing multiple 'signups'. Presumably these were created because the tracking of the status changes started before the activity of Change Membership Status was set up?
