custom data and event info

Is there a way to hide custom event data from the event information/info page?  I want to be able to add a few fields for staff to see, but not have them show up on the event info pages.

unfortunately not :(

u'll need to use a custom template and/or an extra.tpl to hide the custom fields you dont want displayed

this does come up periodically and so would be really nice if someone could work on a better solution for this. Ideally we'll need to make it a property of the custom field or of the event.

Yes, we have the same need.  we need to add custom fields for events that are male/female, etc. We need the info passed to drupal views. the event info template file displays custom fields.  We plan to hide them with CSS (not ideal, but should avoid having to maintain custom templates.

would be great if you can take the lead on this and help spec and implement a solution. Will save your org (and lot of other orgs) the headache of maintaining a customized template

if you are not a developer, consider hiring one to do the needful :)

Hi Lobo - this one isn't really high enough value for my client since he has only a couple events and css can take care of it.  I hear you about contributing though :).
