using Joomla 2.5 and civicrm /.. upgraded from 4.2.1 to 4.2.4, now all the events and all the contributions error with message:
"Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
Could not find valid value for id"

The weird part is the test-drive works fine, in my mind pointing to an access issue.
Does anyone have an idea? reviewed the release notes and nothing points to acl fixes.
I am clueless as this occurs with all submissions for events and members with or without payment, with or without profile..

I was not able to reproduce it on the demo server, however...I did find the reason why and fixed it
 
The settings file has not been manually updated during the upgrade, however it seems that the non- admin sessions became more sensitive to the URL used.. for example: I used acp-ls.org instead of www.acp-ls.org this worked without an issue in the previous version, but now (only for the public) caused issues.

Clearly an oversight from me.. hopefully someone else can benefit from my mistake!
