Clarify 'forward' count on v1.9 CiviMail Report

Can someone please clarify what the 'Forwards' count in CiviMail's Display Summary Report is meant to count?

Does this mean when a recipient of a mass mailing 'forwards' a received email to another email address?

I tried this and it didn't register anything...

According to the wiki, "Forwards - Click this link to see by who and when the email was forwarded by recipients. If none, you will see the message "There are currently no forwards".

However, I just tried forwarding one and it doesn't show up in the reports either.

I see this issue here: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-1775. Looks like it was verified for 1.9 and then for 2.0. I am about to upgrade to 2.0 and will report back to you if it's working there. What version are you running?

After my 2.0 upgrade I tried forwarding as well. Does not show up in the reporting. I am updating the jira issue I've referenced above if you want to follow/watch it there.

I've reopened the issue and we'll verify and fix before the final 2.0 release

emilyf: I'm running 1.9 at the moment. I'll have another play tomorrow now that I know what's meant to be happening.

Are you using token {action.forward} in mailing, which create the link to forward mailing. By using that link you can forward the mailing up to 5 recipients at a time. If a mailing is forwarded using forward option of your client (like Thunderbird) then its not counted in forward.

I believe this indeed still a problem in 2.0.5 and I've put a bug in for it here: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-3674

I did fix for page redirection and status messages.
Basically when you use {action.forward} token you can forward the mailing up to 5 recipients at a time. Once you successfully done with forward. you will not able to forward same mailing to theses recipients in subsequent forwards.

Also for more functionality in forward mailing you can check
